Athena was appointed to deliver the full Cat B fit-out of Happy Valley, an 8,000 sq ft Asian fusion restaurant in Reading, creating a bold, immersive dining environment designed to balance atmosphere with operational efficiency.

The interior design combines contemporary architectural elements with subtle Eastern influences, using warm timber tones, textured stone finishes and layered lighting to create a welcoming yet high-energy setting. Athena delivered a comprehensive scope including full M&E installation, bespoke joinery, bar fabrication, commercial kitchen fit-out and decorative finishes throughout.

Given the technical demands of hospitality environments, particular attention was paid to coordination between back-of-house operations and front-of-house experience to ensure performance, compliance and durability without compromising the design intent.

Delivered through close collaboration with designers, specialist contractors and the client team, the project reflects Athena’s ability to translate ambitious hospitality concepts into robust, buildable and memorable spaces.
